THEN                       NOW  
     

It took 30 years to get me here - it isn't Paris, but it's
home.  We landed in Brush Creek about 8 years ago,
remodeled and added onto the farmhouse, and took
up raising cattle; this is called retirement, and I could
be wrong, but it feels like work to me.  Our two girls
Melanie and Kathy have provided us with a grandson
each, and regularly dump one of them here to get the
farm experience (Rowan's first words were "John Deere"
and Nick is being tutored on the old International).  I did
finally quit asking myself "what the hell am I doing here?" 
It's beautiful and peaceful, and we love it.  A team of
horses couldn't drag me outta here!
